Break the Fast
The Break the Fast dinner happens at the end of the Yom Kippur holiday, the holiest day of the year. After spending the day fasting and thinking about ways to be a better person, everyone is hungry and looking for easy-to-digest comfort foods. And it's ideal to serve food that can be prepared in advance.
I like to serve fish (Smoked Salmon Spread on bagels or Roasted Whole Salmon with Fennel), a dairy casserole (Apple Noodle Kugel or Make-Ahead Mac and Cheese), a light soup like Cauliflower Soup, and fresh fruit. See more ideas below.
